Boy Spyce Gbekile: “People find it difficult to understand that I’m now a celebrity.” Talented singer David Osemeke, popularly known as Boy Spyce, has harsh words for musicians that pay influencers to promote their music.
During an interview with Cool FM, The Mavin artist was shown in a video online articulating his dissatisfaction with singers that go over and above to pay social media influencers to promote their music.
The singer continued by talking about how the performance makes you seem unreal and how originality ought to be rewarded in the industry.
He continued, saying that because the market is so large, acts that engage in such conduct won’t win praise or endure over time.
Boy Spyce boasted about himself in relation to the subject at hand, saying, “I’m confident in myself, I can’t do that.”
Speaking to the host, Spyce acknowledged that his viewpoint may put a lot of people on edge, but he insisted that “artists need to stop paying people to tell the world you’re dope, show the world you’re dope” instead of continuing to pay people to spread their message.
