Reps Deputy Minority Whip, Adekoya loses in Ogun

The Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Segun Adekoya has lost his bid to return to the National Assembly.

Adekoya, who is representing Ijebu-North East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in Ogun State, had contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Adekoya, popularly known as ‘Attacker’ lost to his opponent from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adegbesan Joseph.

While announcing the result, the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the constituency, Adeyemi Bamgbose said Adekoya polled 25,450 votes, while the winner got 35,708 votes.
