According to Mr. Jimi Odimayo, the representative for Ondo State in the House of Representatives, the decision of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal indicates the overwhelming national support for President Bola Tinubu.

The five-member PEPT panel affirmed Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election and denied requests from Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi, the candidates for the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, respectively.

Odimayo, who represents the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in Ondo State in the lower house of the National Assembly, urged for the PDP and LP candidates to put the case behind them and cooperate with Tinubu to rebuild Nigeria.

The federal senator made this claim in a statement he gave to our correspondent on Saturday and then disseminated via his media office.

“I want to encourage the PDP’s Abubakar Atiku and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi to work with the president in the best interests of the country and to realize the renewed hope agenda,” he added.

“This court’s decision confirms the President’s obligation to present Nigeria’s citizens with the Renewed Hope Agenda and put that nation on the road to development and prosperity.

“I must point out that President Tinubu wasted no time and acted immediately to strengthen the economy and give our citizens more power,”

Odimayo congratulated the president and said the PEPT victory was well-deserved.

As a result of all matters being thoroughly investigated and addressed in accordance with all applicable laws, “our democracy has been strengthened and the right of Nigerians to freely elect leaders of their choice equally upheld. The verdict is a victory for truth, the congressman said.
