NiMet predicts three days of thunderstorms and cloudiness for Nigeria.

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) predicted thunderstorms and cloudiness in Nigeria from Tuesday to Thursday in a meteorological report released on Monday.

Thunderstorms were expected to hit portions of the states of Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kebbi, and Kaduna in the early morning hours.

The forecast indicates that throughout the day, intermittent thunderstorms will continue to form across parts of the states of Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, and Kaduna.

Thunderstorms are expected in areas of the states of Nasarawa, the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Kwara, Kogi, and Benue in the early morning hours.

Over parts of the Plateau, the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, Niger, and Nasarawa states, thunderstorms are anticipated later in the day.

The southern interior states and the coastal states are expected to have cloudy skies, and sections of the states of Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Cross River may have morning thunderstorms.

According to the service, thunderstorms were expected to pass over parts of the states of Imo, Abia, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Ondo, Oyo, Anambra, Enugu, Edo, Delta, Lagos, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom later in the day.

Wednesday’s weather forecast from NiMet called for cloudy skies in the northern area, with sporadic sunshine, with the possibility of thunderstorms over some of the states of Adamawa, Taraba and gombe.

It predicted that thunderstorms would sweep across parts of the states of Bauchi, Kaduna, and Zamfara later in the day.

NiMet predicts a cloudy atmosphere with morning thunderstorms over portions of the states of Niger, Kogi, and Benue.

Later in the day, thunderstorms are predicted to occur in the Federal Capital Territory, the Nasarawa States, and parts of the Plateau.

With the likelihood of thunderstorms early in the day over portions of the states of Enugu, Awka, Ebonyi, Imo, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Lagos, cloudy skies are expected over southern interior cities and the coastal region.

NiMet forecast that thunderstorms and rain would eventually hit parts of the states of Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Edo, Cross River, Rivers,Lagos,Delta, Akwa ibom and Bayelsa later in the day.

According to the organization, Thursday morning will be gloomy in the northern area with brief periods of sunshine, and there is a chance of thunderstorms over some of the states of Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Katsina.

A overcast sky with a potential of thunderstorms over some of the states of Kogi and Benue in the early morning hours is anticipated over the North Central area, it further stated.

Later today, the Federal Capital Territory, the Plateau states, and isolated thunderstorms are likely to be in the area of Niger.

Over sections of the states of Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos, as well as the coastal states and cities in the South, hazy skies are anticipated in the early morning hours.

Later on in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated over a portion of the states of Enugu, Ekiti, Osun, Edo, Rivers, Delta, and Bayelsa.

Flash floods could occur due to moderate to severe rainfall, according to NiMet. It is suggested that everyone use reasonable caution and avoid driving or walking in floodwaters.
