After finding that Lanez had told Megan to “Dance’bitch” in the middle of the street while firing numerous bullets at her, the Los Angeles Judge read out the sentence.

Following his December conviction for assault with a semi-automatic weapon, negligent handgun discharge, and transportation of a loaded, unauthorized firearm, Lanez was given a sentence.

The prosecutor argued that Lanez’s actions left the “WAP” singer with physical and mental scars, and he had asked for a 13-year sentence.

Tory Lanez’s legal representative requested three years in jail or on probation as well as alcoholism rehab.

Judge David Herriford stated during a protracted sentencing hearing that he had received more than 70 letters, some of which were from Lanez’s celebrity acquaintances.

Iggy Azalea, a singer-songwriter, claimed to have requested one and requested a sentence that was “transformational, not life-destroying.”

The tiny child of Lanez proposed one more.

The prosecutor had shown two aggravating factors—the use of a weapon and a victim who was especially helpless—but the prosecution had not proven that the crime involved a particularly high degree of viciousness, cruelty, or callousness, the judge claimed.

But he ordered Lanez, who has been in custody ever since he was found guilty, to serve ten years in prison.

Following the gunshot of the female rapper in the foot in 2020, Lanez, who was arrested on Tuesday, April 5, was previously charged with assault.

Since then, he is not allowed to speak to her or reveal any information about the case to anybody else. On Tuesday, April 5, Lanez was detained and appeared in court in Los Angeles after it was claimed that he had violated the injunction by posting details of the case on social media.
