A former Minister of Information, Prof Jerry Gana, on Saturday rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party alongside five other prominent former members who earlier left the party from the North Central zone.
Gana had left the PDP for the Social Democratic Party sometime in 2018 to contest the 2019 presidential election.
Others who rejoined the PDP at its zonal congress held in Makurdi, Benue State capital, are a former Minister of Police Affairs Humphrey Abah, Amb Esther Audu, Adakole Ijogi, and Amb Bagudu Hillson.
Gana appreciated the leaders of the PDP for readmitting them back into the party.
While thanking former Senate President David Mark and others who led the party’s reconciliation delegation, Gana described the PDP as the party of purpose.
He said, “We are happy to be back and Nigerians expect the party to take over the governance of this country for good governance to ensure peace and security.
“I, therefore, urge the PDP to mobilise together and be united to rescue Nigeria and restore good governance, ensure the security of lives and property and instil confidence in the minds of all Nigerians.
