AFCON: FG owes Super Eagles match bonuses, says Ahmed Musa

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa says the federal government owes Super Eagles players bonuses for two games.

Musa disclosed this in a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday as the Super Eagles few days to the Nations Cup.

“Regarding the bonus, I think they are just owing us for two games now. Yeah, two games,” Musa said. “There is no other outstanding outside these two games.”

Musa added that the players will “be having a meeting with the coach and maybe the NFF officials so we can take the next step forward.”

The Nations Cup, hosted in Cameroon, starts January 9.
The Super Eagles will face Egypt on January 11. Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau are in Group D.

In November, Nigerian female basketball team D’Tigress took to social media to lament the non-payment of their allowances before the federal government paid them.
